Each person likes a type of harmony. And the fact is that what can make someone’s hair stand on end, can even make someone else’s hair stand on end. In addition, there are songs for all occasions, so it is important to find the ideal rhythms for every moment. A nice ballad to play in the background of a romantic dinner can be the ideal choice for a perfect evening.
Likewise, it is a very good idea to find the ideal tone for your meditation routine and that allows you to be fully aware of what you are doing. Undoubtedly, exercising the technique of mindfulness with certain melodies will make your way easier as it will help your mind to focus.

Mindfulness as a principle of awareness has a key function in Buddhist psychology. In particular, in the Vajrayana context, it represents a wedge of consciousness that allows us to slow down the iterative process represented in bhavacakra, the so-called wheel of becoming, analogous to the ruminative processes of the default mode network studied by today’s neuroscience.
Mindfulness meditation is practiced by sitting with your eyes closed, cross-legged on a pillow or chair, with your back straight. The focus is on the movement of the abdomen as you breathe or on awareness of the breath as you exhale and inhale through your nose. If you distract yourself from the breath, you passively notice that your mind wanders, but in an accepting, nonjudgmental way, and then you return to focusing on the breath.
These techniques, substantially derived from classical cognitive therapy, are subservient to the treatment of multiple disorders, including: depression, borderline disorder, anxiety, panic attacks, disorders with psychosomatic components, obsessive-compulsive, eating, insomnia, fibromyalgia and mood disorders. Mindfulness meditation also finds application in those existential discomforts not directly attributable to true disorders or pathologies, but felt as “overthinking” or cognitive neoplasia.

As I am aware of the mess that there is with mindfulness (and even more mess if we add meditation), I will explain it from the beginning and you will see how later you will know how to answer with certainty to the question I asked you at the beginning.
Another relevant name to understand the development, research and application of mindfulness is Dr. Christopher Germer, who defined and explained the three main meanings of mindfulness.
In reality, all these attitudes that we include within mindfulness as a theoretical construct, are a way of life, a practical philosophy with which we learn to live fully in every moment of life.
When we speak of third generation psychological therapies we refer to those that address the relationship between the patient and his or her problem in a global way, focusing on the person rather than on the conflict and promoting the acceptance of the conflict.
As we have just seen, mindfulness is a set of knowledge, practices and techniques that help to develop the state of mindfulness and all the implicit psychological skills (which we saw in the first point).
